She is the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Kenya Branch and is an ADR expert. She is well-versed in arbitration, officially recognized as a Chartered Arbitrator, and a diploma holder in International Arbitration. Her proficiency extends to construction adjudication. Her expertise is bolstered by her connection to the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation plus her specialized training from King’s College London and FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) in Construction Law. Additionally, she is a Chartered Mediator with advanced mediator skills being certified by both the International Mediation Institute and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators. She is the sole Kenyan mediator approved by FIFA and is a pioneer accredited mediator within the Kenyan Judiciary.
She is listed on the International Arbitration panels of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa and Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration and CIARB Kenya.
She represented CIARB in the National Steering Committee for the Formulation of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Policy 2020 where she convened the NSC Sub-Committee on Legislative Proposals. The National ADR Policy was approved by the Kenyan Cabinet in March 2023 and it has now been taken before the National Assembly as Session Paper No.4 of 2024. The Policy includes 3 proposed legislations, namely, Dispute Resolution Bill, Construction Adjudication Bill, and Arbitration (Amendment) Bill.
