MR TECLE HAGOS BAHTA, formerly an associate professor of law at the University of Mekelle in Tigray, is currently a senior lecturer in law at the Department of Law, University of Botswana. He has taught and extensively researched in the areas of laws of insolvency, secured transactions, public procurement law and policy, commercial and investment dispute resolution, construction law, and commercial law. He has published several articles in the areas of public procurement law, ADR, arbitration, construction law, and investment laws. He has given expert legal opinions to arbitral tribunals for several international construction arbitrations held under the arbitration rules of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He is also a research fellow of the African Procurement Law Unit (APLU) at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and an associate member of the Botswana Institute of Arbitrators (BIArb).
